Play it by Ear
**Should be played with headphones**
A project made for those unable to see but wish to use interactive media. Navigate through mazes levels using echolocation and other auditory-based mechanics. Your primary ability is "ping," which emits a sound that bounces off walls and returns, allowing you to gauge distances based on the delay and volume of the reflected noise.
Audio is spatially mapped, reflected sounds from the left or right will play in the corresponding headphone, while front and back reflections will play in both. Sounds from behind are distorted to mimic real-world perception.
Each of the five levels contains three hidden diamonds; listen carefully to locate and collect them before reaching the exit. All menus are fully accessible via keyboard navigation and read out load by a narrator.
Project by Nicholas Werenich.
Use WASD to move around, TAB and ALT-TAB to navigate through menu, left click to ping, hold right click and press W, A, S or D to send a ping in that direction.
